I have mild asthma too. My chest hurts a little, I am coughing, and my nose is congested. I am taking Robotussin Cold and Cough and some cough drops but nothing is helping.

I like to drink Camomile Tea a few times a day. It is a natural tea that helps out with colds. Plus, I like the new Mucinex for congestion - for me it works in about two days for deep congestions. Also, I like the aromatherapy options out there: there is one for the shower for colds and one that you plug in while you are sleeping. Check out your local drug store. Otherwise just keep doing what you are doing and it will pass sooner than later. If you have the cold for more than two weeks though, you need to go to the doctors.

Take a teaspoon of raw honey as needed for sore throat. Gargle with apple cider vinegar three times a day. Drink plenty of water. For the asthma, drink a cup of strong coffee until the wheezing or difficulty in breathing lessens. I too, have asthma.

Vick's vapor rub and Vick's inhalers in between you other medicines. Sometimes a good spicy food such as hot Chinese mustard or horseradish or chili peppers will get your nose loosened up temporarily.
