Just gone to answer a question and have found that I have lost a percentage point on my best answer score?

I understand what you are saying but it would still ad up to 100% not 99%

When you answer one more question, you have one more answer.. so your percentage for best answer might go down too. The percentage is calculated based on number of best answers / no of answers...
Oops.. after answering your question, my best answer percentage went down by 1 too..

The percentage adds up to 99% because of the rounding down.

The more answers you make that are not counted as best answers the lower your overall percentage. For instance if you make 100 answers and ten are chosen as best answers that is 10%. If you make 150 answers and 10 are chosen as best answers that puts you percentage down to less than 7%. The answer is work harder to make your answers better.

It does your percentage based on how many best answers you receive against the number of questions you've asked. Therefore you may have been asking a lot of questions and still waiting to see if you get best answers for them. In which case your percentage will go back up again.

the percentage is the ratio between number of answered questions and best answers, so if you answered loads of questions without getting a best answer the percentage will drop

Must be a glitch in the scoring system. The thing had never been accurate in over 4-5 months.

well yeah. if you submit more answers, but are not selected as the best answer, then of course your percentage will go down.
