Yeah, just tell them to re-read the listing. But be nice, they are potential buyers.

You have to remember that you are the seller. Your main task is to sell your goods. Part of being a salesman is to be courteous, but focused on making the sale. You should also remember that anyone can make a mistake.
You should provide an answer, but also mention that the ad provided that information. Maybe you could use "a one size fits all" answer, and use it whenever the occasion arises.
And most importantly, thank them for reading your ad (even if they missed a few points!)

I sold motorcycles on ebay for a few years. I understand exactly what you are going through. Many of the questions I received left me shaking my head in disbelief, and asking...did you not read the listing, or are your eally that st___?
At the end of the day though, it behooves you to answer each question as though it were valid. Many people do not read the entire listing, or simply do not understand your vernacular.
Any time we try to sell something, we place ourselves in a customer service situation. I have in the past answered emails thinking this is a waste of time, and been surpirised to find it lead to a gaining a customer, and repeat business.
You owe it to yourself to follow up on each and every lead.

Yes you should answer them. But qoute from the listing itself with something along the lines of:
Per the instructions contained within the listing: "This part of the listing explains the question they asked"
That way you are not making idle chit-chat and merely restating something you have already written. I can understand your frustration to people who do not follow directions, but if you are truely concerned with conducting business, these are the sacrifices you have to make.

As a courtesy you should answer the question...remember you are selling not only a product but yourself as the business...also direct them to the questions section to let them know that many answers could be found there...also answer the question as thouroughly as possible
