I am academically suspended from school and I don't want my parents to find out.I told my mom that I paid for classes (I haven't being suspended) but the amount didn't show up on her credit card and now she wants to check the school site where everything is kept track of. What do I do?

I see others have told you to tell her the truth, so I won't go that way..though it is what my first thought would be. Another way to go would be to leave the state for a while. Tell her the college had made a mistake with your records and the classes you wanted were already filled. You couldn't take the classes this semester, so you're going to go on a research trip across the country to visit people who are in the profession you want to be in. Good luck.

Ouch. Hard one. I would be honest with her, tell her you did the stupid thing that most freshmen or sophmores do and messed off for a semester, so now they've suspended you for a semester so you can get your act together. Promise you will do better next semester - I'm assuming you can go back summer? And promise to work to support yourself until then.

Better to be honest, truly.

I never got suspended, but I sure messed up a semester - not a fun wakeup call, is it?

just tell her the truth, I know you are afraid and everything, but believe me when I tell you the truth is the best way to go! If you try to cover it up you will just make it worse! Trust me, I speak from experience, when I was in college many moons ago, I got kicked out and I lied and did not tell my parents and acted like i was still going! Finally they found out and it was okay! they were upset, but i got back in and everything was fine then and they forgave me!

Sorry dude, you gotta fess up. Tell the truth and take your punishment like it was meant. You got suspended, that's bad enough, but lying through your teeth and getting in worse trouble ain't gonna help you none.

tell her the truth......especially if you have been paying with her credit card.....she has a right to know, AND will probably find out eventually. I am sure it will be much easier coming from you, than finding out any other way.

Time to 'fess up. Tell your parents what happened and then figure out a way to correct it. Don't let your education slip through your fingers because of one screw up. We all make mistakes, it's what we learn from them that counts.

Accept the fact that you are busted, and just come clean with your mom. It is that simple. A lie will only make it worse, so I encourage you to be honest with your mom.

You need to come clean with her, it is going to be better for you if you tell her instead of her making an idiot out of herself by calling the school...good luck...I think yo are in for a bad day!!!!

Fess up. Part of being grown up. Time to start. Besides, sounds like you are caught red-handed.

Tell her the truth and promise to change your ways. Otherwise she will never trust you again. You have taken the wrong path and need to get back on track.

Lies always get found out.
