im 12 i have a bad cold and my nose was hurting mom gave me half of her painkiller last nightit was perfect just the trick. /it was hurting way.way worse and so i took a whole one. im dizzy my stomache hurts, am i ok?

Drink plenty of water,as much as you can....You need to use the bathroom as much as possible ! Have your mother call the local emergency room and talk to a nurse,tell the nurse what medication it is and what the dose of each pill is.Tell them your age and weight,how long you have been sick,and when you took the pill,when you last ate something. if you have a fever go to the emergency room.You should NEVER take someone's medications !!!!

first off i wanna know why ur mom gave u a pain killer? those r her meds not urs she should have Never done that, tylenol ya, pain killers NO! U r probably jus dizzy from the meds some of those out there make me throw up and such, tell ur mom to keep a eye on u and make sure u dont have some awful reaction.shame on ur mom!

You need to make sure when you take ANY kind of painkiller or ibuprofen that you eat something with it. especially you only being 12. i would go in the kitchen and eat something. never take that stuff on an empty stomach it can cause really bad stomach problems. you will be fine, just go eat some bread or something. hope this helped, goodluck

STOP READING ANSWERS AND CALL THE HOSPITAL OR POISON CONTROL CENTER!! Tell them exactly what you took and how much of it. They will tell you what to do.
If you doubled what worked for you, then you can be in serious trouble, especially if the medicine you took is an adult prescription like Tylenol with Codeine or Percocet. CALL NOW!!

seriously dont get worked up, opiates are not dangerous its the acetaminophin in them that is and if you only took one thats equall to one tylenol! do not worry it will only make you feel like something horrible is going on. painkillers are not something you should fret about trust me! go watch t.v. and hell maybe even try to enjoy the feeling.
yea a lot of times painkillers make people nausous the first time they use them. bear through this time adn i promise next time will be better. and im hoping that if your 12 it was only a 5mg m357

Does your mother know you took a whole one? Did you take it with food? Sometimes they can cause those symptoms if you haven't eaten. Tell your mother what you did. Try crackers and ginger ale, talk to your mom, and see a doctor.

yes, your mom should know better than that if you must take them please eat something ahead of time, you cannot take these medicine on an empty stomach. please do not go an drink a lot of water.
