I have the 2nd generation Nano...but the standard earphones that came with it are useless - they keep popping out unless I keep really still! I also have small ears and am interested in the wrap around earphones. What type can I get without compromising good sound quality?

If you have £70, then buy the Bose TriPort IE units. They are the ultimate! I bought a pair for my wife for her Birthday, to use with her 8gb Nano. I am now planning a pair for my self! I have tried others, but when I sampled my iPod with these, I knew that they could not be bettered. Lucky that she agrees with me!

The iPod headphones are generally regarded as crap, so you're better off investing in some better ones. It all depends on how much you want to spend. Just remember that in many ways you get what you pay for. You're not going to find any headphones for less than $20.00 that will give you good sound quality and will stay in your ears. That being said, you should look into Bose, JLAB Audio, Sony, and Koss ear-bud type headphones. Some of them are noise-reducing, some are noise-canceling, but any of them are better than the iPod headphones. Try Googling any of those brands or look for iPod accessories on Yahoo Shopping.

Get the ones that go in a little sideways. I have the kind I think you're talking about and they pop out of my ears all the freakin' time. So I bought a completely different model and they work perfectly. No more falling out. But it's funny because the old ones were falling out as a result of my big ears.

Personally I have found little difference in the brands except the cost as far as sound quality goes but look at how they are constructed for durability. They should be at least 1" at the earpiece and 1and 1/2" at the headband so they don't slip or break too easily. Good Luck!

Any headphones will be a step up from those useless iPod pieces -o- crap. Those things are pure garbage- not only because they sound like shite but the let everyone else in the room hear what you're listening to as well.
I DESPISE those things!
