I dont know if I'm on the right category, if i'm not bear with me, i'm new at this. Anyway I live in Maryland and it has really been cold these last couple of days and we have direct t.v. Does the cold weather interfere with the satillite? We were getting a few channels yesterday now today we have nothing. Can anybody help me??

I don't think the cold has as much to with it as the wind. Have you inspected the line to see if it has been severed or if the dish has been offset?

Time to switch to cable.

Weather sometimes affects the satellite. Usually there is a code on the bottom of the screen. Once you see it I would call Direct t.v. and ask them what that code means. Before calling I would reset your reciever. This is the red button on it. If that does not work then call direct t.v. and see if they can check the connection. Hope this helps...

the cold usually does not affect signal but snow on the dish certainly will.
