Rabies is a disease that attacks the central nervous system (brain and nerves). It is caused by a virus that lives in the saliva of a rabid animal.
Rabies is usually transmitted through an animal bite. It is also possible to catch it if the animal’s saliva gets into a cut on your skin or in your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Birds, fish, bugs, amphibians, & reptiles do not get rabies.

No it's not possible, but if your noticing a white foam around the fish's mouth, it most likely has what's called "Ich" [not sure about the spelling] but it is fatal to fish. It can be treated if caught early enough..Go to Fish store and ask what to do.

Yes. I once had a guppy that had gotten infected from a rabid cat that drooled into its fish tank. Man, that goldfish turned into a real homicidal maniac. If you were feeding it, it would jump out of the water to try to bite you. I darned near lost a finger to that little maniac. Sadly, we had it put to sleep, because it was just too dangerous having it around.
