I listen to my mind. Hearts can be good, but they can also be fickle and foolish. Charles Manson, and many other serial killers have received love letters while in prison. Anyone using their brain would never do this, even if any of the people were innocent people who live in prison with no hope of leaving make terrible partners.
But that doesn't mean I am heartless, I just use my mind when I am helping people. It is smarter to teach a hungry man how to fish, then to give him a fish. My heart would help a hungry man for a day my mind would help him for a lifetime.

I had to choose which to listen to not that long ago...I chose my mind...my heart still aches every now and then but I know I made the right choice...sigh

Go with the heart, your mind may be playing tricks on you, and a broken heart hurts like he!!. Sometimes its even kinda fun to just loose your mind and go a little crazy........Just don't get caught.
