Is it smart to wear a skirt when it is 20 degrees?

Well i wanna wear a skirt to the dance on fri and i also wanna know if i should wear a skirt. by the way what color skirt would match with a red top and black heels ?

Wearing a skirt isn't a big deal if you wear some sort of tights or leggings with them. For a red shirt and black heels wear a flowy black skirt that sits anywhere between 3-6 inches above your knees, and some navy colored wool tights or regular black pantyhose to keep your legs warm.

Would you feel comfortable with this idea? In the 20 degree cold weather, to get to the dance, wear pants, bring your skirt along to change in the ladies room when you first get there. And the nylons, etc. As for what color skirt: red (same shade as the top or it won't look right), black (wear black nylons looks best with black skirt). Those, I think are definitely the 2 choices on colors for a skirt. And, please, again consider wearing pants when leaving the dance. Have fun!

Ok, it's not really a great idea to wear a skirt in 20 degrees. But I agree with you, you definitely should wear a skirt to a dance! A really cute skirt that would match would be a denim skirt. Also, try wearing leggings in the cold weather. They will definitly keep your legs warm! If you think that they look funny with heels, then try wearing some ballet flats instead. The previous suggestions are all good ones, legging or tights are a fabulous way to stay warm in a colder climate when wearing a skirt. There are tons of great tights out there to play up an outfit, or for a more conservative look; simple black. Another great solution is a long wool trench coat, if you have one of course. The generally fall around knee to mid-calf so your legs would have some added warm also. There are multiple new looks to this classic fashion staple. As for a skirt, a great pencil skirt like this one looks sultry:

No it is not smart to wear a skirt when it is rather cold. However if fashion must overrule common sense. The wear tights, or a couple of pairs of pantyhose. Tough it out for the sake of looking good. I've done it when the occasion calls for it.

You can wear a skirt at any time, just wear some dark tights or pantyhose under the skirt, they will help keep your legs warm.

yea, its fine to wear a skirt in 20 degree weather, as long as you arent spending too much time outside. i wear skirts all the time in the winter.

i guess so since its not too cold neither too hot. You maybe can wear a black leather skirt which will look great with the red shirt and black heels!

for some people, the place we live this is heat!!! so if it hits 60 exterior we are working around in shorts and skirts and tank tops, simply by fact it feels like summer time whilst in comparison with the 30 degree temps we've had for months :) it relatively is all in the attitude :)
