Um... We have purchased them at Comp USA and Best Buy (Monroeville store). The warranty was better from Comp USA. It was the actual Apple warranty (I used it twice). The warranty from Best Buy took a really long time as you have to go through the store.
There is an Apple store right on Walnut Street in Shadyside. I think there is one at South Hills Village, too. That would probably be your best bet as far as questions that you may have and availability.
The price is the same anywhere.

There is an Apple store in Shadyside and South Hills Village mall. You can get an iPod almost anywhere, but go to an Apple store for someone who can actually help you buy one!
