Education for children should be free and compulsory. Their parents need livable wages and occupational training programs. There needs to be equitable distribution of goods and services to poor families. Availability of birth control is necessary. Smaller families translate into greater personal wealth. Health care for the needy wouldn't hurt either.

Do you live in India? If not, maybe you should worry about the poverty in the country where you live, as you can do much more and be more productive about finding a solution.
I am not making light of the poverty there. It's just that there is poverty in many places. Do what you can where you can.

That Pakistani guy who won the Nobel for writing a book on how to achieve world peace said that it's impossible to do without achieving economical near-equality and devised a simple personal loan system in which all parties gain. I like his idea, but I can't remember his name right now.

The poverty in India is beyond belief. I have been living in the US, New York City, for some time and there are a lot of people who chew off half their tongues complaining about how poor, oppressed, and "downtrodden" they are. I can't take them seriously because they get subsidized living from the government, free Western medicine, are ferociously fat, wear expensive clothes, etc., and live in remotely decent housing. Whenever I hear them complain I laugh behind their backs and then a little tear hits my eye, because they have no idea what "poverty" is all about but in India it's the basic way of life to be overwhelmingly thankful if one gets even one meal a day and their dhoti or sari doesn't rip off from overuse.

The poverty in India is reducing as compared to the time of independence. Do you think there is no poor person in the developed countries like USA? You have perhaps mistaken. I have read one of the articles in the news paper at the time when India was celebrating its 50 yrs of independence where it was said that India has achieved in 50 years of its independence more than what USA has achieved after its100 years of independence.

the simple and the easiest way is to promote education.to reduce the rate of illiteracy.even if the people are not educated there must at least be classes for them to know about the growing world.this will help to control poverty. As a citizen of India we can at least donate some money to the students who want to be educated. We can write stories on this topic and publish them so that people will come out to help the poor and needy.

Spark economic growth by reducing the heavy regulation on businesses.

India is particularly bad for bureaucratic entanglements preventing economic growth and initiative.

The idea is to protect people from dangerous products, working conditions etc. This is a good goal, but too much of a good thing is bad for the economy. They need to balance themselves a little better
