Usually, make ups have a powdery finish right? Sometimes it takes a little oil or sweat for the make up to set in. I usually wear moisturizer on before putting on make up. I do achieve a natural look after a few hours. But on TV, like Korean dramas, I see Korean actresses have very nice, glowing, and natural looking make up and their skin looks moisturized and healthy. How can I achieve that look?

Just read somewhere that the "dewy" look/ finish is achieved usually from using bare minerals/ essentials. However, mineral make ups are really expensive. How do you get the "dewy" look of minerals without having to spend too much?

The best way is to NOT wear make up. If your skin is shiny and healthy then you will look natural AND glowing right away! Use a skin moisturizer every night (Clinique works great), get tons of sleep, and eat healthy foods like vegtables and fruit! It really does work! It's ok to wear a little make up such as eyeshadow and mascara, but don't put on too much. The best way to achieve this look is to keep it simple.

i use physicians formula beads of perfection tinted gel. I use the translucent light but depending on your skin tone theres a bronzer version too. It controls shine, covers tiny imperfections, hydrates skin, and looks completely natural. After i rub a little bit of that on, i use cover girl tru blend foundation and just rub it over any little problem areas, and then finish it off with a light dusting of neutrogena mineral sheers powder foundation. It looks flawless, glowing, lasts a LONG time, and looks so natural

Bonus: The minerals are also good for your skin, they'll calm down any red or sensitive areas you may have

First of all don't put to much on, if you do it will be very noticeable. Wash your face every morning when you get up and every night before you go to bed. You should also not use heavy make-up like cover-ups.If I were you I would get Bare Minerals. Just brush it on lightly over your face then you can put a little blush on and maybe a little eye shadow. Then you'll have a more natural look.

I've had that same problem, too. The best way for me is to wear facial moisturizer, light foundation, and some...here's the secret...blush. Blush or bronzer, depending on your skin tone, works really well for adding that special glow. Also don't cake your foundation & powder on too much. In the dramas, they put tons of makeup on the actors/actresses so that their makeup will show up on camera. Or sometimes they just have "good" skin. Hope this helps :>

you can spray this on after applying makeup: http://www.amazon.com/Evian-Travel-Trio/dp/B00021DKU4/ref=pd_sim_bt_1/104-3553339-7103968

yes it's just plain mineral water, but the thing that makes it special is the INCREDIBLY fine mist -- works wonders. it's really cool and refreshing, too.

MAC Fix + does something similar, but with chemicals:

EDIT: i just read your "additional details." it's a huge misconception that minerals have to be expensive... i hate Bare Escentuals' makeup, which is the mainstream brand. not only does it cost a ridiculous amount, but it broke me out, didn't really cover, was a terrible color match, AND it made me shiny (as in, shimmery, and not in a good way!) FAST.

what i use is a mineral makeup at www.aubreynicole.com . WAY cheaper, and looks better than BE. great coverage, which i need... anyway, a sample pack can be purchased for $6.50 (+ shipping), which is a fantastic deal since the samples will last you months. if you click here, you can check it out: http://www.aubreynicole.com/store/home.php?cat=285

also with AN, they offer several different finishing powders (the final step on top of the foundation), one of which is called "mineral glow." that one is supposed to deliver a glow!

honestly, i believe that with makeup and skincare, as well as in the the fashion world, there are some things where "you get what you pay for." and then there are some things that you can get sooo cheaply, and they're just as good, if not better than the expensive ones! right now i'm using an expensive sunscreen by shiseido, which i think is worth it compared to the cheapo drugstore versions that shone on my face and broke me out. but makeup-wise.... i actually believe the makeup i'm using is better quality than BE's for a fraction of the price. =)

I recommend Nars Multiple in South Beach. I use it on my cheeks and a little on my nose. It gives you a light glow (depending on how much you put on). Almost like you've got a little sun kiss thing going on. I la la love it. Anyhoo, my best friend is very light skinned; I am a lot darker and it works well for both of us. You can use this product as lipstick, eyeshadow, and blush...therefor it's $35. It's worth it and it lasts.

There's a great product by Benefit called Dandelion powder, which is pink-ish and one called Georgia which is peach coloured. They're very sheer powders, not really a blush, that you sweep all over your face - you get a really pretty glowing look like you've just been for a walk! Worth a look.

Buy some foundation from everyday minerals.com
They've got one that's semi-matte, and another one that's called Original-glo. Both give a really nice glow. Why don't you just order the foundation and a finishing powder?
