Hi everyone,well it's happened again.I was looking at a site that had information that i wished to download,when i clicked to download, it said i would need to install ADOBE READER.Well i have this installed,so i now assume the reason i am getting a RED SQUARE,GREEN CIRCLE, and BLUE TRIANGLE at top left of screen is because i don't know how to use ADOBE READER?How does one use ADOBE READER to read a document?

It may be that you don't have the latest version, which is 7.0.5.
To find out what version you have, open Adobe Reader and go to Help > About Adobe Reader.
If you need to update it, you can download version 7.0.5 from Adobe:
http://www.adobe.co.uk/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Uninstall your current version before installing the new one.

no doubt the book is older, ie 8 will work fine. type in ie8 and get it from a microsoft site. then reboot computer .
