Is it okay that levels gown down a bit during the early weeks of pregnancy. Can they go back up and I have a normal pregnancy. Or am I miscarrying and do not know it. I just need to know because I still have pregnancy symptoms and no miscarriage symptoms so I am wondering if I should get a second opinion or not. Is it possible to have HCG levels go from one number down a bit to another and still have a healthy pregnancy in the long run.

Unfortunately when hcg levels go down, it means that you are having a miscarriage. The doctor should have told you this. During a miscarriage, they usually check your levels every few days to make sure they continue to go down. So sorry.

Usually when a miscarriage is happening very early on the levels go down slowly and then start to go down dramatically...during pregnancy at anytime your levels are supposed to constantly go up everyday and double every 3 days..when i had an early miscarriage my levels were dropping as well, thats one way how they knew...Talk to the doctor and ask them what u are asking us but the chances are it is a miscarriage,u will continue to have pregnancy symptoms until the levels drop considerably low, which then the miscarriage will truely take place..I carried my babies in my womb after they passed away for 4 weeks.one died at 7 and 1 at 8 *twins* and i started to notice the pregnancy symptoms suddenly dissapear and started bleeding at 12 weeks..that is called a missed abortion when a woman doesnt know she is miscarrying and carried the baby in the womb even though they arent viable anymore..if this truely is a miscarriage im sorry and just know that after 1 it doesnt mean u are more likely to have another..I am now on my 3rd healthy pregnancy...Good Luck!!

I can only tell you what my dr. told me because I am not a dr. He said if it goes down early in pregnancy that is usually the best way to know if a miscarriage is taking place or he called it a missed abortion! Best wishes, it could be some explanation for this and everything fine I hope, but this is what I was told!!!!!

it can be quite unusual to have a powerful being pregnant after seeing hcg tiers drop. That being stated, I remember a pair of pals from online infertility help communities that did have that take place. that's in many cases attributed to a vanishing twin or different sort of loss of a multiple. that's unquestionably not the norm, yet i could suspect a sonogram may be the final thank you to be sure the viability of the being pregnant, solid success!
