Do you think that it is fair for your boss to have the heat set on 58Degrees when it is only 30 outside??

BTW: The reason being is because she is old and she has old ppl hot flashes!!
Its a Spa not a warehouse!

Unless your employer advertised the job as working in cold conditions, such as warehouse for example, it is not reasonable. That said, you're probably fighting a losing battle. You could complain, but its tough to win this kind of battle - even if the thermostat went up, chnaces are you'd be marked as a troublemaker by someone who thinks 58 degrees is Ok. I'd dress warmly and seriously look for another place to work.

No I think he is a little cheap with the heat and he may be comfortable wearing a jacket in work but I would tell him that he either puts the heat up of find someone else.

However, if you have some matches and a metal trash can, you could start tossing TPS reports in, and start a little fire to warm you up.

well, I would think that he would want his staff to move quicker but in reality he probably knows that if he cranks up the heat that it could blow your heater... I am sure like mine it has been working overtime. I would just try to be dressed in layers so that if you are too hot you can loose some stuff.

doesn't matter what's the temp outside, usually it requires to set minimum 68. contact village/county office.
