last year i decided to date a really good friend of mine, "Michelle" (who had just recently broke up with my best friend "Sue" - god i hate lesbians!! ha) anyway, i dated her and realized how hurt "Sue" was so i broke up "Michelle" soon after (mostly because of Sue's feelings...) however, it's been quite some time and "Michelle" has made it very clear that she still loves me...and i can't deny that i don' thave feelings for her too - but what keep's me from going back to her is how much it would hurt "Sue" again... Is this the correct reason not to be with "Michelle" again? Am i doing what is in my best interest?

(i know it's confusing...but it's real...welcome to the world of lesbianism!!!)

How many times do you need to ask this? Is it until you get an answer that agrees with what you already know?

Either: go out with Michelle - because YOU BOTH WANT TO (Sue can find someone else to console her)

or deny them both access to your lovelife and keep them both as friends.

If she didn't break up with your friend to be with you, and it has been a reasonable amount of time, you should follow your heart. I understand Sue will be upset, but people do break up, and lesbian dating tends to be pretty incestual. (Meaning, my ex is dating my good friend's ex, who used to date my exe's ex.... It really is Gays of Our Lives.) Eventually, Sue and Michelle may be able to be friends again. In the meatime, you don't want to miss out on someone who might be the love of your life, just because she used to date your friends.

Side note: I met my wife in an elevator. We had the rare distinction of never having dated anyone that the other knew. It was pretty unusual. :)

this is a situation where you're kind of gonna have to choose between "michelle and "sue". what would be in your best interest would be to choose the one who truly matters the most to you. the friendship you have with "sue" or the relationship you could have with "michelle". the reason i said you have to choose between them is because there's a very good chance of you going back to michelle could completely ruin your friendship with sue but then again no matter how hurt she was back then she could be over it now. you need to ask sue how would she feel if you would start dating michelle and try to see how she responds to it.

Go back to Michelle. it's unhealthy to break up a friend's relationship just because of one's own personal issues. Sue needs help getting on with her life and forcing you and Michelle appart isn't the solution to her problem(s).

You should do what you deep down in your heart think is right. If that means being with michelle then do it.
