They can be beat... just do a search on "beating a lie detector test"... there are many methods you can use, and all you have to do is make a few answers look a little "off" to make the whole test seem questionable...

No point in cheating if your taking a lie detector test, I would go bright red if I told a lie, so I may as well just be honest if I ever had to have one.

I cheated one once, as I was answering the questions I was counting the bricks in the brick wall I was facing, not thinking about the questions but concentrating on the bricks.

Write to Jeremy Kyle, lots of people on his show, e.g. for paternity tests, think they can beat it and they can't. What have you done that you want to hide.!!

it is dam hard to beat you need nerves of steel as it picks up on heart rate how much sweat you are producing etc and yes i would if the stakes were high enough
