The inimitable Grace Slick and Jefferson Airplane's 'White Rabbit.' It was written and performed by Grace and Great Society first, but never recorded 'til the Airplane was formed.

I think of 50's, 60's and maybe very early 70's as oldies and I'm 23. Doo-wop, rock and roll, and ballads that have that tinny "oldies" sound. I think it should stay that way. I would classify everything after that as Classic Rock and Pop. 80's music is 80's music. There's really no other way to classify it. It had a very distinct sound. The day that 80's music becomes oldies is the day I cry, lol... I get really sad when I hear Pearl Jam on the Classic Rock station already...

WHITE RABBIT -- Jefferson Airplane
One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small
When men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know
When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head
Feed your head
Feed your head"
