I'm so tired of hearing about 'animal rights extremists' all the time.
I am an ordinary person who loves and cares about animals. But it seems today anyone who dares to speak up in defence of them is a dangerous criminal.
Now don't get me wrong, there have been some appalling acts carried out in the name of animal rights. I do not for a second condone these acts and agree that they are terrible.
But please understand that these extremists represent a TINY minority of all animal rights people (around 5%). The reason you only hear about them is because of the agenda of big corporations and the fact that it sells papers.
No-one ever asks WHY these people are driven to commit these acts. Or about the fact that there are thousands of people who protest in a PEACEFUL way about it.
Please, if you have a heart and would like to see both sides of the argument, take a look here: (be warned, NOT for the faint-hearted)

The reality is that hundreds of thousands of animals are imprisoned, tortured and killed every day often for unnecessary tests or simply for financial gain.
Some of the things done to them are so unbearably horrific that it would make concentration camps look good by comparison.
Yet if anyone tries to do anything to stop it, even something so simple as writing a letter of protest, they are declared a 'dangerous extremist' and sent to prison.
Will people ever see OUR side of the story and realise that the people committing atrocities are a TINY minority?!

Because these extremists are the ones that get the press coverage.
There are people who will attach themselves to a cause...any cause...just to give them a platform to be radical. They do not really care about animals, or abortion, or the war...they just want to be able to shocking and get attention.
Very sad that they become the face of so many good causes!

Is it because our society is based on experimentation
with humans & animals
& if a link is established
whereby FEELINGS are taken into account,
the whole system could potentially collaspe?
If I was a cartoonist, I would draw a cartoon of
upright-walking pigs, dressed in fine clothes, with trotters for feet etc., entering a supermarket with freezers containing packs of frozen human meat, with SALE slogans everywhere,
& put in the caption
a comment such as: Which cut is the lowest price?
To make people THINK a bit more.

I really have never met a single living soul in UK who does not care for animals. They out number the people on ths island by millions - there are more horse than in Victorian times, countless cats and everyone I know has a dog.

you really think there would be any medicines available today without animal testing? those people need to get a proper job really! why try to change nature also vegetarian cats and dogs they have canine teeth for one reason! yes the pictures are bad but they always show the worst and never show both sides look on animal aid websites their pictures are made in 1991 re wild bird trade things change! the animals are bred for a purpose they are not the same as normal rabbits. releasing them into the wild only cause more problems!

it relatively is especially insensitive so as which you would be able to assume that abortions are the equivalent as killing a guy or woman. Are you in basic terms ignorant of how many abortions are performed on fetus and not using a shaped head? provide up reducing abortion to 3 life or death determination whilst it relatively is in basic terms too extra often than no longer death or death as an determination. preserving a fetus alive and forcing a mom to offer regardless of and not using a head and lungs is the appropriate cruelty for a mom that incredibly needs to have slightly one.

Because people think animal research and eating meat are essential even though they aren't.
As for hunting well the sad fact is the very rich can do as they want and no one has the nerve to stop them.

England the home of animal lovers...very ashamed maybe if one of the worker's had called one of the animals a racist name it would be on the news in Parliament the financial backing removed. it makes you wonder if there is any sense of perspective any more

mistreatment of animals for any reason is wrong. This includes hunting with dogs (its the prey that's mistreated). However, HUMANE trials for genuine medical reasons like cancer research or paediatric diseases is preferable to experiments on humans. This does not include anything to do with cosmetics or vanity driven procedures. I am an animal lover and would not want to see any animal hurt deliberately for any reason at all.
