IT IS NOT whatever comes after the alpha point. (which was someone answer to a similar question). HELP!!!!!!!

This is a term I'm trying to learn for my lab. We've only done stereonets , & stereographic projections. So I imagine it's related to that??

Yes, but I think the beta point is the point on a beta axis where the axis intersect. It is a theoretical value since they never really intersect.

Or do you mean beta plane ?
It may be the point plotted on a stereonet which relates to the beta plane. That is the plotted pole to the beta plane. See the link below ...the first 2 diagrams.
