Once. I've been awarded a BA on about 10 - 11 occassions for insulting people. I think if your insults are witty or backed-up with good info, some folk can be pretty big about things. Makes a refreshing change from the insipid little wartlings who insult you for no reason, then you insult them back and they delete you.
PS: As one of the legion of friends of the real Fat Pink Hippo, I have to say that you pale in comparison, you worthless parisite. (Do I get the points?)
Oops! Sorry George, didn't recognise you!
Happy happy happy happy happy happy birthday!

I don't think I have done it, but I have been awarded Best Answer for an insulting answer. I was just having fun with it tho....
I think the question was:
"You might be a redneck if..." and my answer was "if you ask a question like this"
Added: George are you trying to get insulted? You did a pretty good job then...hehe. I know what you are doing, you are trying to get some good insults for your co-workers, huh! * Oh, and I really miss your avatar.

No, But I was awarded best answer by someone I insulted. I was surprised. I kept waiting to have my answer removed. You just never know. There is a new question out there trashing you, hippo.

I called a bloke from Wolverhampton a N O B H E A D because he was asking if any girls wanted to go to a rock night with him.
He gave me best answer and said I was a loser who sat in the pub on a Friday night and got plastered.
However, only one other person answered him and said "I don't live in Wolverhampton."
I laughed at that.
A lot.
He had to stay at home with his Mom that weekend.

Yahoo! Answers is not meant to insult people. It is to share experience and expertise. If anyone tries to be insulting, his answer should not be considered as the best answer. Giving a witty or humuros answer is not the same as insulting. Insult is never funny.

If there was some sense to their insult then I'd think about it. Otherwise they're just being rude for no reason and nobody deserves a reward for that.

Yes they said they knew I was from America because I said the Spurs rock. They knew that British people don't use the word rock to describe something.

Yes I do that a lot, because you know the stupid twit is just going to HAVE to read your response out of vanity. So I will leave a remark like "I'd like to punch your teeth down your throat" or something, knowing they're bound to read it.
