As suggested by answers, it's probably the CPU's cooling fan. You can change it for another one, or you can splash out for a noiseless cooling unit that uses a lot of copper fins and/or heat pipes if the noise is troubling you. See http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=246323

should be something is in part blocking off air bypass so the fan hurries as a lot as kick back the equipment extremely. confirm to substantiate all vents on the instantaneous at the instantaneous are not blocked. evaluate starting up the case and blowing out all the airborne dirt and mud with a can of compressed air. that is likewise plausible you've a defective temperature sensor.

It is true that it's the fan but the reason the fan is working so hard is because of the CPU. You are using too much on your computer and making it work too hard. If you hit ctrl + alt + delete then at the bottom of the task manager it will say your CPU usage. It will be a percentage. If it gets to 100% your computer will freeze.

Open the case and look for loose cables or cable tie that's getting caught in a fan. Just move them aside clear of the fan and problem solved.

It is either a fan on its way out or has got to much dust on it, turn it off open it up and clean it out.
