My husband and i were watching Heroes last night and we've just started watching the show. Who's Nathan and is he an important man in the show? I'd really like to know. I'm confused about who he is since we haven't been watching the show that much. Can someone explain to me who he is? Thanks for your answers in advance.

-Nathan Petrelli is Peter's older brother.
-He is running for congressman or something political like that!
-He has the ability to fly.
-Nathan was in an accident at least six months ago, he was driving with his wife home from a party and some of Linderman's guys were driving an suv behind him and caused him to wreck, but before the car crashed he flew out of the car and watched the car crash and his wife ended up in a wheel chair.
-While Nathan was in Las Vegas meeting with Linderman for some money for his campaign, he slept with Nikki/Jessica. Linderman set Nikki up to sleep with Nathan for blackmail reason, to make Nathan do what Linderman wants.
-Nathan didn't believe Peter with the whole "save the world" bit, but Nathan is coming around and starting to believe!
-The guy with the horned rimmed glasses (claire's dad) and the Hatain tried to abduct Nathan while in vegas to do his research, but Nathan flew away.

Linderman - we don't know who he is yet, but he is connect to almost all of the characters.
Linderman gives Nathan Money for his campaign.
Linderman buys a lot of Issac's painting of the future.
Linderman had the picture that Peter needed to find out where the cheerleader was at.
Linderman loaned Nikki $30,000 because she could not pay her bills and her son's tuition since her husband, DL was in prison.
DL was in prison because he was working for Linderman to steal $2 million, but decided not to go through with it, but then was framed for the murders of his crew, which we found out later was Jessica (Nikki's alter ego/ sister) who framed DL and stole the $2 million.
Linderman has the sword that Hiro needs.

You might want to go watch the old episodes. Check on NBC .com. Nathan hasn't been real big up until last night's episode. He's Peter's big brother, a politician, really into keeping up appearances. He can fly, but he doesn't want to , and he doesn't want people to know. He is the reluctant hero. He really loves his family and tries to take care of his little messed up brother, trying to stop Peter from doing the hero gig.

Nathan Patrelli is Peter's older brother, a lying, cheating husband, a candidate for some type of polital office (congressman? senator?) and apparently he is Claire's real dad.

he's a New York Congressional candidate with the ability of self-propelled flight. He is Claire Bennet's biological father.
