Before you even start try just taking a deep breath and take your time. Im not a professional but maybe if you also share a little of your problem with the person you are speaking to they can also help you. Good Luck

Don't let your speech problem keep you from pursuing any dream you may have. I've know many successful people who achieved great things despite a speech impediment. There's lots of resources available such as books, web sites, speech therapy, etc. It's just a matter of exercising a strong will and determination. Hang in there!

I used to have same problem with you. Believe it or not, voice training for singers does a miracle job. Even if you are not planning to be a singer or not interested in singing, professional voice trainer can teach you how to breath properly, and your voice can be more clear and stronger. So if you ever have a chance, try this. All the best!

People that speak in public have anxiety, it may be who you are talking to. If it is a specific person, then find a casual place to talk, if your problem is in a group conversation, then try to listen to what people are talking about and keep your thoughts and responses short and accurate.
