I'm not a doctor and know this before reading my answer.

It sounds like it could be a UTI. I know what it's like to not have insurance, but if it's a problem he might want to go anyway. It could be epididymitis. Better safe than sorry. I would try changing his liquids to cranberry juice, water, and maybe a smidget of alcohol. Also, it could be stress related. Stress can cause your body to act in some really weird ways. I think the cranberry juice and water will be good to clean out his urinary tract, and the alcohol will help not only with the clean out, but with the relaxation too.

think,

He needs to be seen, I do believe.

See, when that happened to me, I tried that, with the home cranberry therapy, right? Symptoms cleared up and I thought I was good...

Two weeks later I was passing blood, and had a case of epididymitis. He does NOT want that.

Get on some antibiotics and clear it up before it gets any worse, I say...
