The negativity about mixed marriages comes from an age old American misunderstanding in the bible, where it teaches the christians not to marry the people from the other tribes. This has been taken by many that it means not to marry other races, when actually, it is teaching people not to marry others who do not believe the same as you do. (Religion). In bible times, christians were forbidden to marry non-christians because they could be in danger of losing their faith. What proves that it has nothing to do with race and everything to do with faith is that if we could not mix racially, then we either could not have children together, or, our children would be hybrid (or unable to reproduce). Since we can have perfectly normal children together, this proves that there is absolutely nothing wrong with our mixing races, and that we are all 100% human. Bible teaching has sculpted most of our ideas about morals, and many of the teachings have spun off into left field by individuals who want to dilute the truth with their personal beliefs.

It depends on your definition of mixed marriage.
Some people think that mixing religions (such as a Christian marrying someone who is Jewish) is wrong, while others have no problems with that, as long as both people are the same race.
Other people think that mixing races is wrong, but others have no problem with it, as long as both people are the same religion.
Personally, I don't see the big deal in mixing races or religions. God, Allah, Budda, Vishnu (sorry if I spelled this incorrectly), or whatever higher power you worship encourages all people to live in peace and work together. So if two people love each other why should race or religion be such a barrier?

I think mixed marriages are a great idea. As long as the couple love each other and all that other hubbaloo, I have no problem with it at all.

Some people don't think much of themselves. They know they're not all that smart or attractive or special. And in order to feel better, they need to feel they are superior to someone else. Being a racist helps them to feel like at the very least, they aren't as low as (insert group here). Others have been taught to hate by parents, friends or bad things that hap pend to them in the past at the hands of a person of another race or color.
But either way, those people can't usually be changed. You just have to avoid them when you can, navigate them when you have to, and enjoy your life.

Because they are judgmental and would have no clue in understanding what mixed marriages are about. This judgementalness is the close cousin to arrogance and stupidity…

It's not their fault. It is the way they were brought up. It is the influence of their environment. Their parents instead of opening up to others they preferred to close themselves up and project their fears on other people.
