I usually don't feel the baby until after I eat, however I usually feel the baby in the morning and this morning I didn't feel the baby yet. I'm getting worried. Could sometime be wrong? (I'm 18 weeks, by the way)

baby's are like normal humans have there on and off days some days they kick up a storm some women say they dont feel anything for up to 2 days it all depends on what ur doing if ur busy and moving around lots u might miss it or ur baby's busy time might be while ur sleeping ur only 18 weeks along ur u dont have to keep track of ur baby's movements yet that doesnt start till like 23 weeks so dont worry its not good to worry over something that u dont have to worry about k ;)

I mentioned this to my doctor as well, when i was 18 weeks along, he said that at this early of a stage a baby is not always "kicking on schedule" like in the later months. Although I swore that my baby kicked at night, and when i didn;t feel it I would still freak out. I will 20 weeks on Thursday and while I still most often feel my baby at night, it is still sporadic at times. i figure as long as I feel him kicking at times throughout the day that he is fine.

My doctor said kick counts should start at 28 weeks along, 2 more months until i can definitively say (hopefully) that baby is fine.

Women generally don't begin to feel the baby move until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks or later, particularly if it's the woman's first pregnancy.

The initial sensations you'll notice aren't real kicks, either. Instead, some women describe the feeling as being like popcorn popping or butterflies in the stomach. If you don't feel any activity by 22 weeks, ask your doctor or midwife about it.

After a while, you'll begin to discern a pattern to your baby's movement and you'll know if something's amiss. If he's not moving as often as he usually does, your baby may be in distress. Ask your practitioner when and how to count your baby's kicks.

Good Luck and God Bless

you are still very early in your pregnancy so your baby could be moving around a lot but is facing your back so you won't feel it. or maybe your baby is having a nap. remember s/he has a lot of space in there so might not feel movement all time but as long as you feel movement daily i think your fine. plus, babies at 5 months move about 50 times an hour they just have a lot of space so we can't feel it. don't worry feeling baby's movements will increase in the upcoming weeks

drink some water and lay on your back. you should feel sdomething. the baby could be sleeping or just not so acive today. you can mess with your stomach and try to get them to move. usually they tell you not to worry unless it has been 24 hours. then they will have you do some exercises to see if you can make them move. i am sure everything is fine. the baby is probably just having a lazy day!

congrats!

No- Usually you don't even feel the baby until about 20 weeks. I wouldn't worry. Its not until the final tri-mester where you actually count kicks

It can feel pretty scary when your baby changes its patterns of movement. I remember this so well. Try not to worry, it is just resting up and growing. If you are truly concerned, then definitely call your doctors office. You can also go to the pharmacy or somewhere where they sell stethescopes, and use one yourself to listen to your baby's heartbeat.
Good luck to you and your baby.

relax baby can move lots and you not feel it, its not uncommon to get alot of movement then nothing could just be the baby is in a position so you don't feel it. or has changed his/her sleep patterns
