how was denise huxtable written off the cosby show? all i remember was olivia and her dad having to stay with the huxtables but i never understood where denise was and how she was written off the show. did she run away? did she die?

I think she was gone w/ her husband,to like the military base looking for housing?!

Denise was written out of the series after its inaugural season and the following season was revamped with the addition of director Debbie Allen and new characters. Fortunately for Lisa Bonet, she became a recurring Cosby Show character in Seasons 4-5 and a star again in Seasons 6-7.
She Vexed Bill Cosby. Vexing instances included racy magazine spreads, racy Angel Heart scenes, and a pregnancy at age 20.

She attended Hillman College, which was later explored in the spin-off sitcom, A Different World. Interestingly enough, however, Denise was only on the series in its first season.

In the storyline she went to where Martin was and stayed with him on his Army Ship. He was written out and only appered like a few times but they both were pretty much written off.
