If you want to pay for it then Norton or McAfee are good. Ive used both of them and I've never had a problem.
If you don't want to pay there is a free one called AVG. I've used it and again had no issue.
Norton and Mcafee may have extra features built in for greater protection. I suppose its worth spending $100 on a good package that will keep you from loosing information and also give you the confidence to buy online etc

anti virus is better then Norton's. anti virus has a hacker protection that Norton's don't. i was told this by a computer specialist. i found i like anti virus better myself. if you ask me it all depends on the person who uses what virus.
