I also take acidophilus pills every day with 10 billion live cultures... Ive had the yeast infections even before the uti's and I treat them when I am off the antibiotics and it still wont clear up.

You're getting the yeast infections because of the antibiotics that you're taking for the UTI's. Antibiotics kill not only harmful bacteria, but the natural flora that exists in our bodies also. When the antibiotics kill the bacteria that is normally present in your vagina, the naturally occurring yeast is allowed to overgrow. That's what causes a yeast infection.
As far as your UTI's, you need to seek a second opinion ... however, you also need to consider your personal hygeine habits. UTI's occur because the lower intestinal opening is located so close to the urethral opening. We have naturally occurring bacteria in our intestines, and some of this bacteria is passed in our feces. This is why it is always so important to clean "front to back", so that we don't expose any other parts of our bodies to that bacteria. Is there a possibility that you could change some of your habits to help prevent your UTI's?
The reason that you need a second opinion is that your infection might not be reoccurring -- it might not be going away at all. Some organisms have become resistant to certain antibiotics. Your doctor needs to order a urine culture if he hasn't already. A urine culture involves sending a sample of your urine to the lab. The microbiologist will put your urine onto plate and grow the bacteria that is causing your infection. They will then expose the bacteria to several different antibiotics and determine what would be most effective to fight the infection.
If you can get the UTI cleared up, then your yeast infections will go away. If you constantly take antibiotics, your natural balance of bacteria and yeast will resume, and you won't have any problems. Hope this information helps you. Good luck.

im sorry... what antibiotics have they given you? antibiotics can trigger a yeast infection and can be so painful that it feels like you have a uti and dont. when did they start? often times there is something that is causing you to get a uti and will keep causing you to get one. if you have had them often for 2 years you should see a specialist. sometimes you could have a short urethra making it more prone to uti (i know someone who has that) or it could be something else. try taking a cranberry supplement. that helps strengthen the immunity of your bladder and it may help. for the yeast infections they are probably triggered by the antibiotics. i would definetly see a dr you shouldnt have to be in all that discomfrt.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aL62u
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

this is a common problem so you are not alone. utis are caused by overgrowth of bacteria.low bladder volumes, and acid conditions allow bacteria to grow. Drink plenty of water avoid caffine and do not hold your urine especially after sex. Yeast infections occur because of diabetes, or antibiotic use . You might have a viscous cycle developed because of excess antibiotics. wear loose clothes and cotton underwear to reduce yeast infections. the last point is that a condition that mimics the symtoms of a uti is interstial cyctitis you might have that. see a good doctor .good luck
