Yes, and no.
"Viking" was an activity some, but not all, Norse people took part in. So the vikings weren't really a "people." Think of the word "viking" like the word "pirate" and you'll be on the right track.
So the vikings, that is, the Norsefolk who chose to go raiding during the "Viking Age" were pretty dangerous. But the people group they came from, the Norse, although thier literature idealized certain aspects of violence and warfare, were not necessarily any more dangerous than any other people group of the era - say the Franks, or the Saxons, or Huns.
I'm not sure what you mean by "vikings invaded this world." Viking Norsemen did attack parts of Scotland, Ireland, England, the west coast of Europe as far south as Spain, and the areas around the Baltic Sea. The established colonies in the Hebridies, Iceland, Ireland, and Scotland. They captured Eoforwic (York) and exacted "Danegeld" (protection money) from the Anglo-Saxons. Those could be considered "invasions".
They also ruled part of the are that is now called "Russia" and were given land in what is now Normandy on the promise that they would not attack Paris anymore. In both places, they assimilated with the local population. And they established settlements in previously uninhabited Greenland and Newfoundland. Those really couldn't be called invasions.

No more dangerous than other people who were desperate and had the wits to find themselves other lands. Invasions came from Rome as well as from Mongols as well as from Macedonians (Alexander the Great was Macedonain). The main difference is that the others were organized as wars (vikings were unorganized in their raids) and taking over the countries was more long term.
Vikings raided in England and Ireland; settled there plus in Iceland, Greenland and New Foundland and were the Varangian guards for the emperors in Turkey (Constantinople at that time).

The Vikings were mainly traders or farmers, they ruled the sea in their dragon ships. Did some raping and pillaging for only about 300 yrs. Most of what they achieved is exploration I think

"Are Vikings dangerous people?" That might be a better form for your question.
Vikings at one time were dangerous people. They were sea-faring people from Scandinavia who conducted raids in the period of around 500-900 CE. They no longer pose a threat.
