wat a coincidence !i'm an optometrist too.. will u b workin in spore ?? if u wanna know if u can practise as optometrist in spore...u can check if ur qualifications r recognise in spore.. www.hsa.gov.sg . even if u cant practise as optometrist u can practise as optician. but my advise to u is tat..dun practise in spore...life sucks here...this profession has gt no public recognition.. esp if u work in retail. livin expenses in spore is quite high esp rentin or buyin a hse due to limited land area.cars r expensive too bcos of high road tax n insurance...COE... ERP... if u wanna own a car...u must set a side 1k every mth for parkin, instalment, petrol, erp gantries, etc (for a simple toyota vios or honda jazz). if u dun have a PR..sch fee is pretty expensive for ur kids when they enter pri sch..every mth abt 150-200 sgd....u may check the exact amt here: www.moe.edu.sg .GD luck
