Flush the toilet once an hour.
Turn on both the hot and cold water at every faucet to a steady trickle (just a drip is NOT enough in this weather).
If your plumbing is on the first floor and you have a basement where the pipes are exposed, then make sure you have a space heater down there to keep the air moving and above freezing. The concrete or cinderblock is much colder than the rest of your house, so that's where you have the greatest vulnerability.
If you have any exposed pipes outside, like from a well into the house, wrap electric heating tapes around them.
Bake a double batch of cookies to keep the house warm and your mind off the yuck happening out there.

We have a well, and ours usually freeze outside in the well house. To prevent this, we wrap the pipes in insulation and keep a lightbulb burning in the well house. When it's really cold, we'll plug in a space heater in the well house.
