i need to reset the fuel pump do i push the red button in trunk?or is their more to it?

Verify that the inertia switch in the trunk is "popped." If the button is flush with the top it is tripped and needs to simply be pushed down to reset.

Some Mercury products fuel pumps ground were placed at the battery negative terminal.If dirty the fuel pump may not work.Make sure it is clean.If the pump still does not run after you have done this and corrected the switch in the trunk,have auto zone check the fuel pump relay located under the hood.
