My favorite actor is Al Pacino. It's hard to say who the "greatest" is because there are so many.

I think that he had some of the greatest performances of all time but as far as being the greatest actor, no. He made some real stinkers just for the bucks later in his career. I am not sure who I would pick, though. Tom Cruise maybe. JUST KIDDING!

No. He was an excellent actor; check him out in the Elia Kazan-directed movies; very strong.
But, I think there are great actors of every generation, and I can't say who I think is or was the greatest actor.

Not Marlon Brando. He was great in 'The Godfather', but most of his other performances seem stylized and self-conscious to me. I couldn't really choose a greatest actor, but Johnny Depp is getting there.

Dustin Hoffman is another candidate. During his longevity now spanning close to 40 years, he has mastered every role he does, and has created several of the greatest performances in movie history.

No, I think Dustin Hoffman is a fabulous actor. And when a movie comes out that has him in it, you know it's gonna be good!
