I'm not sure what to say to her, she's very thin (underweight) and she's been weird ever since i've lost a few stone and started getting fit. The most aggravating thing is she comes round at lunch as she works nearby and always brings me doughnuts and cakes, I say no every time ,and she just sits their pigging her face in front of me.

Thanks for these answers, I have made jokes but i'm going to have to be firm. It's got to the point where i'm pretending not to be in at lunchtime.

Just try to explain that you're trying to be good by eating healthier, and you would appreciate her not eating junk food in front of you. If she's a real friend she will listen. She just may be oblivious to her aggravating habit. Congrats on the weight loss. I know it's hard!

Its hard to watch someone eat things we love but if we want to reach our goal weight it takes dedication and sacrifics.... 1st tell her that you are having a hard time on your diet with her always offering you sweets and if she is a friend she will stop.. Then ask her if she would be willing to help you eat right and plan luches together with foods you both like and that are in you plan if this does not work .. you are just going to have to avoid her at meal time. I know that is a hard thing to do because luch is a great time to talk and break the day up but sometimes we have to just eat at our desk and go on to avoid the temptations ....

Good luck weight is hard on loosing and your mind I kow I have been on ever diet written and still need to loose a lb or 2

Why don't you just tell her that this is unacceptable and that you like her to visit but minus the fattening food and would appreciate if she really is a friend that she not eat this stuff in front of you? If that doesn't work I think you should reconsider her as a friend.

Honestly that's just messed up !! She wants to see u fail....she wants u heavy,im sorry to say that...but thats the way it seems,a true friend would never do that to u....maybe now thatyour starting to lose weight...gaining more attention perhaps ? maybe she's gettin jealous, wants to keep u the way u r,doesnt want u to improve and in her mind..surpass her, know what im saying ? stay strong...if anything....her being like that should give u more motivation to keep on losing weight...make her regret it :)

Sounds like she wants you to be the "bigger" person in your friendship. She wants to be considered the better looking one.
The fact that your not as thin probably helps with her confidence. She's most likely doing this subconsciously.

Just try to sound like you're having a sense of humor about it. Just laugh and say "Would you mind not bringing those around any more, please? I'm trying to watch my weight, and they look very tempting. I'd appreciate it." Then if she brings them around again, just tell her to get them out of your face.

She seems kinda inconsiderate if you told her about your plans to watch your weight... She might just be feeding herself, so maybe tell her about it if she doesn't already know. Otherwise get a new friend.

BE FIRM!! If she is truly your friend, tell her that you are going to start not being there at lunch to talk to her if she continues, and she will STOP IT.

Ask her to stop, and tell her why you feel the way you do. If shes a true friend she will understand.
