You know after happening to our older son and 2 1/2 old children at the time we were so in shock.
They went to get in to the elevator and it was about 2 feet down. without realizing until to late they walk in, fall to floor door closed and won't do anything. 4 hours later they are rescued. I still shed a tear when think of this horror ordeal.

They were hurt so bad as the little one screaming, now that torn us apart.

But one person had a good idea TAKE A CELL PHONE.

The first minute I would be in despair, after 10 minutes I would start feeling claustrophobic, after an hour I would be amusing myself by singing, and making up stories about the people I was stuck there with. After I was done imagining their lives, I would get to know them and realize how totally off I was.
I do that for fun, in coffee shops and book stores, I spy on people and use them in stories. I name them and write about them, etc.

I guess that's why I always end up paranoid some one is watching me, when I go places. But it's never anything creepy, you understand, I just write [mostly fantasy] stories, like placing them in Medieval times, giving them Unicorns for best friends, etc.

:-D *shrug*

*sigh* no wonder I don't have any friends. LOL. Kidding.

Probably replay the elevator scene from "Speed" over and over in my head until I passed out because I'd be sure the elevator would plummet to the bottom and I'd become as flat as a pancake when it hit. I've got an overactive imagination.

First of all do not panic. Elevators are not air tight so you will not suffocate. If the elevator has a phone and most do, use it to call for help...or use a cell phone if one is available. Relax and know that help will arrive. Do not attempt to climb out the roof. this is dangerous and stupid.

Press the emergency button and be glad that I stopped in the restroom before I got on the elevator!

I did, twice, in an elevator in a hospital! There was a crowd of us so it was easier to cope with. My girlfriend had just had a baby, and I was leaving with her husband. It only took about 15 minutes, but that was long enough. It gets stuffy in there!

I would remain calm as usual and use my cell phone to call for help. I have been stuck in three elevators already.

I would like freak out and start panicking and thinking I had no air to breathe and going nuts! I know I would lose it for just a second until I regrouped and calmed down.
