I am very confused, every time I think positive something negative happens and viceversa when I think the worst, good happens. I am very scared to think positive because then something bad will happen to me. I give you an example, when I think that my daughter is doing really well at school, the next day she brings home poor results. When I think Oh thanks God she is not getting ill this winter, in 2-3 days she will get terribly ill with flu and so on. Instead when I think the most horrible things like my husband does not love anymore, the next day he brings me flowers. Everybody tell us to think positive if you want positive life but to me happens all the contrary. Has anyone experienced the same?

ok its true, positive thoughts dont always bring positive results. i myself, often try to expect the worst just so that i will not be dispapointed in a situation where results are uncertain. the thing is though, waht youre talking about , is thinking positive thoughts about what soemoen else is doing. the future is lvery uncertain, and what is more uncertain is the future of what OTher people do.
that is to say, that i fyou think that You will do well on an exam or in a competition, or whatever. if you trust in your own abilities, that positive thinking is very much correlated with positive results. a person who believes in him-herself will alwayus do a better job.
when it comes to others, you can hope that it goes well, but you cant expect good thigns to always happen. you might try expecting the worst when youre particualrly worried, and notice how very infrequently the worst will actually happen.

Positive thoughts will always lead to positive action and viewpoints, which is undoubtedly good.

Life will not always go your way though. I believe many of us experience the same things as yours but do not give up hoping.

I do not have an idea how optimism will help us, but it does.
