According to the weather forecast it's going to be cold and sunny for a couple of days then snow is expected in many places towards the end of the week. Whether or not it will snow is a differnt matter.

We must have had snow forecast for where I live (Yorkshire Pennines) 6 to 8 times this year but only once has it snowed and even then it didn't last.

I love the snow - skiing, snowboarding, ice climbing etc so the more the merrier but it's a pain in the *** when it's on the roads and idiot drivers block all the roads because they can't drive in snow.

LOL. Michigan, USA here.
If you can stay inside and look out the windows, it's the stuff of Christmas cards. I'm looking at two and a half feet right now, that we got in the last week.
Beautiful.
But....if you have to go outside and deal with it, it's a pain in the a**s. It's heavier than it looks!
In the southern part of our country, an inch or two seems to paralyze them also. We in the North usually get a good laugh at seeing how it disrupts their lives. Closing schools and businesses, and slipping and sliding on that couple of inches.
Now, we're dealing with sub-zero (Fahrenheit) windchills. I guess it's not going away anytime soon. :(

It certainly feels like we are as soooooooooo cold. It's both - looks pretty on cards and in the countryside, but a pain cos of the hassle it causes on the roads etc and the mess it makes when everyone comes in from the snowball fights etc. Enjoy though while it lasts.

Apparently we are expectring snow Wed night/ Thursday. Expect train & traffic disruptions. Probably not much compared to our US freinds, but it only takes an inch or so over here to disrupt the travel network. Enjoy it, it makes a change from the wind and the rain !!!!!

Some serious people are saying that we are going to get some this week. BUT, how often is any forecast in this country correct? Well?
