Yes I completely agree with you. It is hard to cater to an over-clingy friend. I have one of those myself - I finally had to tell her that email is it. She would call me every day of the week to talk for 2 hours, we would go out 4-5 times a week for several hours, and email on top of that - and it wasn't enough for her. It helped when I got married...but now I keep it at email only and it's a huge blessing!!

You are not good enough for him. He likes you and wants to be with you. I wish I could go out with my friends 4 times a week!

He just wants your company, can't be mad at him for that, right? But, do tell him, nicely, the next time he wants to go out.... that you're busy, want to be alone, that you're tired, want sleep. You're right, you need alone time, time for yourself.

It sounds like your friend has issues and is extremely co-dependent. I hope he seeks help.

Depends....
If my best friend starts to suffocate me gradually, I would tell him or her to give me a break to 'breath' a while. But as long as he or she remains cool, why not? lol
