Taxis are expensive. If you think you will be returning late, schedule a shuttle ride with Mears Transportation instead. They are not only cheaper than a taxi, but cleaner and have friendlier staff as well. You can make your reservation online and learn more about them at this website:

A taxi can get pretty expensive pretty fast. You can look up on some Orlando taxi sites to get an estimate of the cost, some will even list the cost of the ride. I would say at least $50, but I am not positive.

You should also call Universal to ask for their shuttle service, I am pretty sure they still offer it. I believe that is only $12.

You could also use a public bus, such as Lynx (spelling?) but that can be a little difficult to get onto and stuff.

After looking over your different pricing options, you should also consider a private transfer. Depending on the price of the taxi, most of the time it is less expensive to go with a private transfer over the tax, this is the way I go, it is quick and easy.
