There will be a wedding or a very happy event in the family soon and you, if not the object /subject of the event, will be at the centre of it.

Expect the some joy and happiness!

Depends on some other factors of course, but it sounds like you are having some family difficulties, or communication problems within the family structure. The wedding is a gathering, but you are not there. You have to depend on the actions of a young child to be included. This may indicate the problem is something held over from childhood, or that your connection to this particular child is strong and keeps you connected to the situation. Have you been feeling left out of family functions? or been isolating yourself. Explore your feelings about certain family dynamics....start with the mother of the child at the door.

Only the dreamer can interpret his/her own dream. Classes or books on dream interpretation can help you to learn more about yourself through your dreams.
Some dreams are meaningful...some are not. It's sort of like your mind is downloading while you sleep---some of it is garbage, and some is valuable.
Some general info: Dreams are highly symbolic---ie. the things in your dream (the flowers, cake, etc.) are only representative of something else. Also, the people in your dreams are not really those very people ....they too are representative---maybe they represent some part of yourself, or another person that is "just like" that person. For example in your dream: what do you think of when you think of your sister? Is she sweet? kind? thoughtful? malicious? selfish? what characteristic of your sister's first comes to mind when you think: "my sister"? AND (again re: your dream) who does your sister remind you of that you have been dealing with lately, or what characteristic of hers is being exhibited in you lately?

OK...here goes.....my armchair interpretation of your dream (without being able to ask you any questions, and without knowing any of your demographics):
I think Valentines Day is heavy on your mind---I would guess that you are a single person or even if married, the 'romance" has gone out (the RED carnations=red valentines)....you worry that life is passing you by (ie the rush "I'm in a hurry" of your niece---and also the fact that she's the youngest), you have been thinking a lot of family lately, and even if romance is not on your mind, the comfort and love of family is important to you.
OK that's all I've got. Would love more info---Dreams have a lot to teach us...

Dreams are just information that your brain collects and gets jumbled up when you fall asleep. For example I once had a dream that I was trying to rent a video at the supermarket and was getting frustrated because I couldn't find the DVD I wanted anywhere. I used to work at a supermarket and I always get a DVD on the way home so the brain cross referenced the information and came up with that. So dreams don't mean anything.

your dream means growing or growth, the opening out of abilities or feelings, as in flowering. Flowers can stand for a type of awareness, or faculty of the mind, like the Chakras of Indian philosophy. Also a sense of beauty, love, emotions

Do you know of anyone getting married? What is the significance of the color red to you? What do carnations mean to you? Is she your favorite niece? These are things you have to answer for yourself, nobody else knows what they mean to you. Other than that you can go to www.dreammoods.com and it will guide you thru some general meanings. Good luck!!
