I refer you to a published estimate: of course as an estimate you understand that maybe is not 100% reliable but probably is not far off.
According to these reports an estimated 1,000 people a day are killed by Guns. So calculating gives an estimate of around 365.000 firearm related deaths a year.
http://www.theage.com.au/news/World/Gun-violence-a-global-epidemic-report/2006/05/17/1147545354883.html
Other study published the 6th of May 2006 reports that as many as 1.8 million people have been shot dead since the last UN review in 200.
So now you can calculate, contrast , compare, and if you see something better BUY IT.
Wish you the best and a lot of peace

Why are we so pro gun? Well, I don't know about the rest of the country but I enjoy them quite very much. Think of it this way, if someone was going to break into a house and had two choices would it be someone who had a gun or someone who practices peace and appeasement? If you don't like guns, so be it, I don't care. But if you hate them so much why are you talking about them and wanting to find out more information about them? For how many people are killed by guns each year? Go ask some anti-gun activists, I am sure one of them can tell you. Sounds more like you just want to start something more than find a simple answer to your question, or else you wouldn't have insulted people by comparing their IQ to a dog, proving not all Americans are ignorant and stupid, and everything in your sub-text. Obviously you aren't American it seems from the way you are asking your question, so stop surrounding yourself with everything guns and go find something else most likely you will hate and want to complain about.

Guns don't kill people bad comedians kill people...in answer to your question there are more deaths by car accidents than guns. Just kidding ya! There are 14 gun related deaths per 10,000 people in America so ask another question about the population of america and do some maths.

Guns kill people, they are designed as a vicious deadly and effective killing tool, a tech-9 is not a hunting tool, it is not a precision tool, it is designed to inflict death and pain on as many people as possible. If we melt down all the purposeless guns and make school, America might actually have a few educated people. I apologise to any Americans who are trying to work hard and lead a normal life. When will people learn that material goods are not to be coveted or indeed wanted. If they are needed then yes but dont cause pain to other people to get it.

When people have heated disputes that can't be worked out by talking, or seeing the other person point of view and a gun is easily accessible, it only takes a split second to pull a trigger. We need to keep guns off the streets and out of the hands of children.

88,745 88,745 88,745 88,745 88,745 88,745
You are asking a question that few people can understand.
I think that not being able to process or understand these questions is part of the 'constitution'.
88,745 people died in an average year form 1998 to 2000 (see link below)
Some dude said this which I though was fair.
"Homicide rates tend to be related to firearm ownership levels. Everything else being equal, a reduction in the percentage of households owning firearms should occasion a drop in the homicide rate".
Evidence to the Cullen Inquiry : Thomas Gabor, Professor of Criminology - University of Ottawa
This is for homoside deaths per year, rather than including conflicts/wars

Many more are killed by doctors every year, and more than that by car accidents. Politicians have been trying for years to take guns away from law abiding citizens. That way only law breakers and police will have guns. (considering Waco, maybe that is only one category) Florida passed a very liberal "concealed carry" law, and violent crime dropped by about 50%.... then the hoods started picking on rental cars, knowing that a person renting a car would not be carrying. (you didn't read about it in the paper. but my daughter lives in Fl.)

It's crazy. If there is bacteria in the blueberry jam, we take away the jam. If there is E. coli in the salad, we take away the salad. If there are faulty brakes on the SUV, Detroit recalls their cars. If you are sweaty, you take a shower. But when it comes to guns, nothing gets done. What???? It's just plain stupid. Bush has been a crazy president but he has not come banging on people's doors and shooting anyone. So, this rubbish about having guns to protect yourself from .gov is crap. Give up the stupid guns already and save a few lives!!!!

As an Englishman who is not too fond of much that comes from America, I do feel that they have much better firearm laws than in the UK.
In the UK, extensive firearms and shotgun controls have restricted legally held guns while criminals are extensively armed and gun crime increases.
If the law was to be changed in the UK to reduce gun control and give householders more rights, the failure of our police forces to respond to much property crime would no longer be a problem. Offenders could be dealt with by householders and the bodies collected later.

Because they are Americans GUN = Size of Penis, they have a RIGHT to carry guns its in the constitution, the fact that they get used to kill thousands of people every year is not a consideration. Hence they become trigger happy look at the so called "friendly fire incident" they pilot did not check or do a recce flight first, just shot and look afterwards, they should be charged with murder, this is not the first incident and it won't be the last.
