someone who, no matter what you do, right or wrong, is there to stand by you. not turn away b/c they don't agree with what you think is right. like most my "friends" did.

A Friend Is...
...someone with whom you can really be yourself; one who appreciates the good in you and overlooks the rest. With a friend, you can share a laugh,a secret, a success or disappointment, and a complete assortment of problems, large or small.
A friend is someone who understands silences as well as words...one who lifts you up and never lets you down. A friend is someone who makes you feel it's a pretty nice world after all.

Friendship is something that has saved me from myself, among other things. Friendship is as important as love, to me, because true friends love each other and help each other; they hold each other up when neither one of them can walk. Friends are priceless.....

when you care enough about someone to make sacrifices for them without conditions, people today often refer to acquaintances as friends, that's too bad, it detracts from the definition of friendship.

I always think of it this way: A friend in need is a friend indeed. If you always need your friend and he always needs you for anything that is a true friend.

friend is someone who stays two steps away from you. close enough to protect you and far enough to make you grow.
