It may be fun to imagine alternate time lines without European hegemony, but they are not the only ones capable of genocide (Rwanda, Cambodia, and the Incas spring to mind.)
According to Jared Diamond, the reason things happened the way they did had more to do with Geology than anything the "crackers"(have Issues with White People do you?) did.
If you were to go back in time and transplant Aboriginal Australians into Europe 6000 years ago, you'd find the Aboriginal Australians dominating other cultures with Guns, Germs, and Steel.

good series of questions.
people have sacred cows its not your fault you question them.
likely someone besides the europeans would have colonized the americas.
truth is that before the europeans landed here, the vikings did. 500 years before. leif eirickson took the voyage here in attempt to discover new lands- however america wasn't totally new as it was said to have been spotted in another voyage beforehand.
they left however due to the lack of it bieng "cost-effective" as they would have to constantly defend themselves against the violent indian tribes (it was actually the indians or "skraelings" that attacked the vikings according to the sagas) and there wasn't any real benefit the land offered that they couldn't obtain elsewhere cheaper.
Fact is that the indians would not have developed this land and thus led it down the path of economic waste. like keeping an open lot without building on it. The land now rightfully belongs to the americans and not the natives as the value of it undeveloped is miniscule by comparisson.
If they want it, let them scrape together the hundreds of trillions of dollars the land must be worth, then pay each individual home and property owner for thier land.
Fact is, the ideal of the indians that the land belongs to all- would fall the moment anyone tried to colonize it among any more technologically advanced civilization.
