President Bush will definitely be leaving a White House that needs some work. I believe he was an impassioned man but should have been pulled out after the US did the right thing in attacking Afghanistan. Up until then he was on a great run. But shifting that focus to Iraq still seems more like a personal choice and not the will of the people of the entire planet. The next president will have to be strong on the 'War of Terror' as well. As there will be many interested groups out there probing for perceived or actual weakness in the US after Bush leaves. But any decisions within that policy must be properly articulated to the UN and the people of the USA. And Bush will not have a legacy of consciousness when it came to a larger more definite problem. The climate crisis that faces us now will eradicate any fears of terrors as we will all be fighting for our very survival. All world leaders must begin to face this issue together for all the people they represent.

interesting.

I guess you forget that while Clinton was in office, we were at war with Iraq. Everyday allied planes were targeted by Iraq, everyday allied forces destroyed missile sites, and on two occasions Clinton ordered cruise missile attacks on bagdad. Terrorists bombed the world trade center and were planning and training for the 911 events. Our stock market bubbled and crashed. Gasoline prices soared the last three summers Clinton was in office. And the Clinton's were involved in scandal after scandal after scandal.

So I ask you. Did you ask yourself the same question when Clinton left office? I did.

It will never be the same. When we began invading countries without provacation, the morals and beliefs that the US stood for were thrown out the window. The US could pride itself on never being the aggressor and only taking lives when it is absolutely necessary. That is something we can no longer do.
