I would be careful about the surgery if they say you have to go to their Dr.s to have it done. You can have one of your own Dr.s look at it.
Only you and the Dr. can be in the exam room.I just heard a workers comp "rep" might try and go in with you.Don't allow it.Do as much research on the Internet you can about the surgery.
Get a lawyer, did anyone witness the accident at work? I would get a statement from them. try to remember everything that happened.
It could get all turned around that it was your fault, you were going to fast, playing? You don't have to do what they say.Like have surgery on Friday,if you are not sure.

Make as many phone call first to arm yourself with as much info as you can. I'd start with calling the local workmans comp place, and don't give them your real name. See what you can find out there. If nothing there, I'd call a lawyer next. I'm wondering if you have the surgery without "approval" first from the workmans comp, if they will pay for it. Good luck. I know these people can be a pain in the butt.
