His guitar was live, most of the rest was pre-recorded.

It was live but it looks as if he's faking it, the way that he plays. He programs his giutars to be extra sensitive, so that he just has to touch a chord and it rings out for ages. This is why he's always moving his guitar around all flamboyant-like

Prince is one of the greatest guitar players of all time, in many critics opinion. His name is actually short for "Prince of the Stratocaster." I didn't see him play on Sunday, but odds are pretty good it was him. Did you think he was just a singer?

I thought at first it was pre- recorded but he was doing licks that weren't in the song and I could see him hit them.
I don't think I would want to be holding an electric guitar in the pouring rain.

Prince has been making music for a couple decades, he's a very seasoned artist, and does not fake it.

It was live. Not bad. But it was Prince. What did you expect, Frank Sanatra?
