If they're into Bob the Builder or Fireman Sam etc, do a search for the names and you'll find their official websites - they have downloadable and printable pics for your youngsters. Also the CBBC website is good. If they are a bit older, why not try something similar with characters they like (there must be one for Harry Potter, for example). Happy colouring!

Buy a colouring book from a stationer or toyshop. There are many inexpensive ones available suitable for different age groups.

go to www.neopets.com its a free online gaming site aimed at the younger generation (but still a lot of fun when you grow up). it has games of many varieties, teaches children to look after teir animals (you create your own virtual pet), subquests and the all important (printable) colouring pages

the best thing that i have found is "Black and white" printed pictures off of word - simple and cheap and they can be themed ie Beach for hols, farms, animals, seasons etc etc.
